The Segway Navimow H215E is a robotic lawn mower that uses a combination of LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and other navigation technologies to provide autonomous, wire-free lawn care for areas up to 1500m². It is part of the Segway Navimow H-Series.
Key Features and Technology
- Wire-Free Installation: The mower uses a virtual boundary system, defined via an app, which eliminates the need for physical perimeter wiring.
- EFLS™ LiDAR+ Navigation: It employs an "Exact Fusion Locating System" which integrates high-resolution LiDAR, Network RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) satellite positioning, and a vision system for accurate navigation and mapping (accurate to within two centimeters). LiDAR scans nearly 200,000 points per second to build a detailed 3D map of the environment.
- Intelligent Obstacle Avoidance: The VisionFence™ system uses the LiDAR and camera to detect and avoid over 200 types of objects, including pets and furniture, with high precision.
- GeoSketch™ Mapping: Users can define mowing zones, set off-limit areas (called "off-limit islands"), and create channels between zones using a full-color interactive map in the smartphone app.
- Terrain Adaptability: The H215E can handle slopes of up to 45% (24°) thanks to its stability control and off-road wheels.
- Quiet Operation: It operates at a low noise level of approximately 60 dB(A).
- Weather-Ready Design: The mower has an IP66 waterproof rating and includes a rain sensor that can be set to send it back to its charging station during rain.
